Remember the nostalgic emptiness of the mountain sky basin

Deep in the Daba Mountains of Tongjiang County, Sichuan, there lies a hidden Shangri-La-like empty mountain sky basin. It is the largest high mountain basin in the Qinba mountain area. Due to its remote location and relative seclusion, it still preserves a special kind of beauty. The empty mountain sky basin, also known as the empty mountain dam, is located in the town of Kongshan in Tongjiang County, at the southern foot of the eastern section of the Micang Mountains, at the junction of two provinces (Sichuan and Shaanxi) and four counties (Tongjiang of Sichuan, Xixiang, Zhenba, and Nanzheng of Shaanxi). The history of Kongshan is long, and its culture is profound. It is one of the earliest places where the Ba culture spread. As early as the Qing Dynasty, folk activities such as shadow puppetry, dragon lanterns, lion dances, and storytelling were very active. The unique topography of Kongshan contributes to its beauty and mystery. The primitive forests and karst landforms have created this high mountain basin. The basin is flat, surrounded by layers of mountains that tower into the clouds. With over a hundred peaks, it is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round, offering endlessly changing scenery, like a natural bonsai. Such a paradise, like a fairy untouched by the mundane world, has ancient legends, red memories, pure folk customs, and natural landscapes, making it an absolutely unforgettable place.
