Senaga Island

#SeptemberDestinations2025 Senagajima Island feels like the epitome of a resort island. It's not far from downtown Naha, but stepping off the bridge is like entering another world. Here, you'll find the Senagajima Umikaji Terrace, a series of white buildings. Their stepped, sea-facing design is sure to be stunning in any photo. I made a point of visiting the Ice House Cafe. Enjoying a drink on a scorching day, the view from the window was a stark contrast of cold and heat. Another highlight was the Happiness Pancakes. The freshly baked soufflé pancakes were light and fluffy, and paired with the relaxed island atmosphere, they truly made the word "happiness" seem like a real word. Walking along the beach at dusk, watching the sunset paint the sea a crimson red, was the most romantic moment of my trip. Senagajima Island is perfect for a half-day or full-day trip, perfect for enjoying delicious food, taking beautiful photos, and relaxing.
