You can hear familiar music (the theme song from Sazae-san) playing in the streets around Sakurashinmachi. Sakurashinmachi Shopping Street is called Sazae-san Street, and the heartwarming song from the TV show Sazae-san is playing casually. Near the entrance to Tokyu Sakurashinmachi Station, you will be greeted by the Sazae-san family and a giant Sazae-san head made of flowers. There is also a bronze statue of Sazae-san in front of the police box. At Sakurashinmachi 1-chome Green Space (Sazae-san Park), the Sazae-san family is depicted and their faces (pictures) are drawn on the ground. The area around Sakurashinmachi has a wonderful atmosphere that shows how much Sazae-san is loved.
