Every spring, the Gotoh Museum exhibits the national treasure "The Tale of Genji Illustrated Scroll," and every autumn, the national treasure "Murasaki Shikibu Diary Illustrated Scroll." This museum has a deep connection with Gotoh Keita, who founded the Tokyu Group, and not only does it have a rich collection, but the surrounding gardens are also spacious and well-maintained, and there is even a teahouse. Exhibitions are held 6 to 7 times a year. Of these, it seems that special exhibitions are held about 1 to 2 times. This time, the "Museum Collection Chinese Ceramics Exhibition" was being held. I was looking forward to not only the exhibits, but also to strolling through the gardens, and I was able to feel the spring atmosphere. Admission fees are 1,000 yen for adults, 700 yen for high school and university students, (300 yen per person for both if you only want to use the gardens), and free for junior high school students and younger.
