Traveling in Tokyo during the cherry blossom season

#TokyoSakura I have been to Japan many times, but I have never seen cherry blossoms. This year I made up my mind to take a gamble and try not to become a cherry blossom refugee. I studied various 🌸previews before going, and finally placed an order to buy the plane ticket. Who would have thought that the weather this year was also weird and changeable. It was cold at the beginning, then it rose rapidly and then suddenly cooled down and rained. Although the cherry blossoms basically bloomed on time, the cherry blossoms after the wind and rain always felt a little drifting. This time, we decided to go to Tokyo to enjoy the cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms in Japan bloom in waves. After arriving in Tokyo, we found that the first wave of weeping cherry blossoms had basically withered, so we did not go to Rikugien Gardens. Instead, we conservatively chose Ueno Park, Meguro River Night Cherry Blossoms, Chidorigafuchi, and Shinjuku Gyoen Garden. If I had to rank them, I think Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is the most beautiful, followed by Chidorigafuchi and Meguro River. Ueno Park was a bit below my expectations. I was a bit disappointed this time because I didn't have enough time to go to Roppongi. After looking at the pictures online, it should be similar to Chidorigafuchi. I hope I will have a chance to come again next year. The reason why I call them refugees is mainly because of the bad weather. The first stop was the night cherry blossoms at Meguro River. It was drizzling all day, with occasional strong winds. When I walked to the location, facing the huge crowds, I was exhausted. Later, I specially arranged a whole day to enjoy the cherry blossoms, but I chose the coldest day, which was even colder than when I came to Tokyo last December. The cherry blossoms were beautiful, there were many people, and the sky was cloudy. I was numb from the cold, so much so that when I looked through the photos, I felt that my face had changed from the cold, and I was inexplicably swollen. I like the cherry blossoms in Shinjuku Gyoen the most, especially the gradient cherry blossom tree. I have never seen such a big one. One tree has created a cherry blossom forest, which is spectacular. In addition to the weeping cherry blossoms mentioned above that have withered, this time we also saw Kawazu cherry blossoms, light pink Yoshino cherry blossoms, deep pink Fukurokuju cherry blossoms, white Oshima cherry blossoms, etc., and the quality of each type of cherry blossom and their opening hours in Kanto. The cherry blossoms are really beautiful, but the sky was not nice, so I didn’t enjoy it very much this time. I hope I can have a chance to see it next year. I look forward to it.
