IPPUKU & MATCHA Nihonbashi store

Located on the 1st floor of the Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower, IPPUKU & MATCHA opened on September 27, 2019. This specialty shop focuses on offering premium Uji matcha. The name "Ippuku" (いっぷく) in Japanese means "taking a short break," reflecting the store's concept of providing a moment of tranquility in the bustling city through a cup of matcha. I ordered a matcha latte for 690 yen. There are also options for double and triple matcha concentrations, but I chose the standard concentration this time. The latte can be customized with beet sugar or served unsweetened. For dessert, I tried the matcha syrup cake for 400 yen. The matcha flavor was rich and intense. They also offer a hojicha (roasted green tea) flavor. In addition to the Nihonbashi store, a second branch has recently opened in Yoyogi-Uehara.
