Cherry Blossom Season at Ueno Park

Stepping into Ueno Park during cherry blossom season for the first time, I instantly understood why people are willing to brave the crowds to be here. Every cherry blossom tree looks like it has a filter applied, with the sunlight perfectly complementing the scene—it's so beautiful it feels unreal. And then there’s the quintessential Japanese garden feature you’d see in cartoons: the spherical-shaped cypress trees. As I admired the blossoms, I couldn’t help but question life: "Is it really free to enjoy something this stunning?!" Only to be reminded by the long lines of people: "Oh right, the price is the sea of humanity." But it’s absolutely worth it. The moment the cherry blossoms start to fall, even the urge to check your phone disappears. Spring—it turns out, feels like this.
