Okouchi Shrine

#TokyoAttractions Okouchi Shrine was built to commemorate the 9 shrines in Okouchi Village that were submerged by the Okouchi Dam and the 11 gods enshrined there. Here are enshrined Hirokuni Ninichi no Mikoto, Izana Mikoto, Kifune Ogami, Koyama Zuigami, Fire God, Hayatama Omei, Jibetsu Omei, Takao Nin no Mikoto, Kumano Sankami, Kamobetsu Reishin. Take the Nishi-Tokyo Bus from MRT Okutama Station and it takes thirty minutes to reach the nearest bus stop, Okouchi Shrine. The shrine is a fifteen-minute walk from the bus stop. The shrine is located on a mountain, but it is surrounded by tall trees, so you cannot see the lake from inside the shrine. However, there is a floating bridge across the lake next to the shrine, called Mugiyama Floating Bridge. You can walk there to enjoy Lake Okutama and its surrounding areas. of magnificent views.
