#cityplaybook Itabashi might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of Tokyo sightseeing—but that’s exactly why I loved it. It’s peaceful, local, and full of charm. I visited during sakura season, and the cherry blossoms along the Shakujii River were breathtaking. Pink petals fluttering in the breeze, families out for a walk… It was the kind of calm Tokyo rarely gets credit for. After my stroll, I stopped at a retro café near Nakaitabashi Station called Shiratori. Their signature swan-shaped cream puff was both adorable and delicious—a perfect treat with a cup of tea.
