No pictures allowed once the show begins, though. The theater and the overall atmosphere, acting, costumes, etc. are fascinating and exquisite. The problem for a non-Japanese speaker will depend on what’s showing. Some plays are two or even three hours long, and comprised of mostly dialogue.
