Tokyo Nihonbashi - Hina dolls come together at the "Mitsui Family Hina Dolls"

#Travelwithme This art museum has a collection of about 4,000 pieces of art and craftwork donated by the Mitsui family. Every year, the Mitsui Family Hina Dolls exhibition is held, bringing together the dolls of wives who married into the wealthy families and their daughters. The most impressive display was not the wives, but the display of Hisako, who was born as a daughter of the Mitsui family. Of the dolls on display this time, this one was relatively new, so it was dignified and refreshing to look at. It was a gorgeous display of dolls three meters wide from Maruhira Oki Doll Shop in Kyoto. Even so, I can't imagine that they used the dolls to play with like Licca-chan dolls, but I was amazed at the lineup, wondering how many sets of dolls each person in the wealthy families had. The way they were displayed was too innovative for me. Looking at a photo of Bakuko's display, there are several sets of dolls and the Emperor at the top, and only one set of the three court ladies and five musicians. I lined up the Ichimatsu dolls and Gosho dolls that were all over the house in a tiered display. The sight of all the Ichimatsu dolls lined up in one place was almost scary. This year, I just got rid of my own Hina dolls. I think the faces of my Hina dolls were as elegant as those of the wealthy. I'm grateful to my grandmother for her good taste. I'll make a note that Hisako's husband was a handsome man who would still be relevant today.
