[Tokyo/Ubako Inari Shrine] Ubako Inari and Idaten in Nishi-Shinjuku

Ubako Inari Shrine is located on the grounds of Shinjuku Washington Hotel. It's to the right of the taxi stand! According to a sign in the shrine grounds, it was originally enshrined in Asakusa as the war god of Akimoto Tajima no Kami Reitomo, the lord of Tatebayashi Castle in Joshu, and was moved to its current location, where his lower residence was located, in 1871. Next to Ubako Inari Shrine is a white hall with a more impressive Idaten statue than the main shrine. Although the shrine is small, it also has votive plaques! Further back, there is a statue of Nomura Sentaro and Masu, the couple who worked hard to build the shrine.
