[Tokyo/Ueno Toshogu Shrine] Nighttime illumination

Every year, the shrine is lit up at night in the fall. You can enter Ueno Toshogu Shrine through Karamon Gate, but if you pay a fee, you can see the shrine building right in front of you. First, at Karamon Gate, you can see the ascending and descending dragon sculptures by Hidari Jingoro, who is famous for his "Sleeping Cat" at Nikko Toshogu Shrine. If you pay a fee, you can see the shrine building, which was built in 1651. It is also called the "Golden Hall" because of the lavish use of gold leaf. The illuminated shrine building is divine and very beautiful.
