[Tokyo/Akasaka Hikawa Shrine] A shrine with an ikebana-style flower purifier

It was enshrined in the 5th year of Tenryaku (951) as a result of a spiritual dream by the monk Renrin. In the 15th year of Kyoho (1730), it was moved to its current location by order of the 8th shogun, Tokugawa Yoshimune. There is a park on the side of the approach to the temple grounds, where locals gather in the morning to do some exercises! Flower water basins have become popular recently, but this one is a little different, in that it is made in the style of ikebana.
