Gorgeous Hotel & Great Location

We absolutely loved our stay at the Onsen Ryokan Yeun Shinjuku. We arrived early in the morning and had no problems storing our suitcases whilst we went exploring. The minute we walked in we felt relaxed, leaving all the hustle and bustle behind us, the reception area itself is gloriously zen and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Whilst not exactly in the heart of Shinjuku it was around 15 minute walk to Shinjuku Station, 10 minutes walk to Golden Gai and even less to the funky bars and restaurants around the Suehirotei theatre. We absolutely loved our stay, had our first onsen which was an experience (great view!) and slept like logs after sightseeing all day. A special mention to the pillows, am not sure what you put in them (felt like a layer of massage beads) but am definitely going to try and source one in Sydney. We stayed in a standard twin which was small, but what we expected so no surprises and just meant we had to be organised with a big case each. As an aside I used packing cells for the first time and were literally a Godsend (tops in one, dresses & pants in another, makes living in a small space so easy as you don't have to be rummaging in your case every day). Would definitely recommend this hotel to those wanting an authentic experience, it was nice to really feel like we were in Japan and not just another generic hotel. Tokyo has left us wanting more so am sure we'll be back and would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Keep up the great work! #naturalwonders#nationalpark#lakes#beaches#infinitypool
