As I wandered through this green paradise, I was taken by the clever layout: yew hedges guide you through vibrant floral borders, reflective pools glisten under Somerset skies, and secluded lawns invite you to sit and soak it all in. The Pool Garden, created in memory of Reiss’s nephew, is a deeply moving space of calm and reflection. Cedar Court, meanwhile, is an explosion of seasonal blooms set against the warm tones of historic Ham stone walls. The orchard and productive kitchen garden add rustic charm and a sense of sustainability. It was wonderful to see thoughtful practices like rainwater harvesting being used to care for the plants — a quiet nod to gardening with the future in mind. 🗓 Best Time to Visit: Late spring through early summer is a floral feast.
