New Zealand's Timaru Dashing Rock: Sea and Seals

In New Zealand, a place where even the lakes are extraordinarily grand, its endless sea is naturally even more anticipated. When visiting Timaru to see the sea, the map shows that Dashing Rock is a spot where seals often appear, and there is a vast beach adorned with colorful pebbles and shells for strolling. My friend and I drove to the vicinity and found that if you follow Google Maps' directions, you will be blocked by the gate of a slaughterhouse at the end. The correct way to enter is to park near the slaughterhouse and then walk. At the corner of Westcott St. and Pacific St., you will see a small path for pedestrians that bypasses the slaughterhouse and leads to Timaru's beach. The ocean suddenly unfolds at the end of the path, and the endless blue makes you gasp in awe. The waves at the horizon layer different shades of blue. The sea breeze blows, and the camera can't capture half of its beauty. On the right side of the beach, there are towering rocks, and the waves crashing against them create huge splashes. Climbing to the top of the rocks, the white waves surge beneath your feet. Fortunately, we even saw a lazy seal lying in a hollow. It seemed accustomed to the disturbance of tourists' cameras. As long as you don't get too close, it just lazily lifts its head for a glance and then continues to lie down, listening to the sound of the waves and the wind, and falls back into a peaceful sleep. Although you can see seals and there is no one guarding the area, tourists should remember to keep a proper distance from them and not disturb their daily lives. After all, as the Kiwis say, on this beach, they are the original inhabitants.
