See 8,000 Years of History at the Fuxi Temple in Tianshui

Gansu Province has a free admission policy for cultural and tourism sites. The cheapest attraction on the list is the Fuxi Temple, so tourists coming to Tianshui recently have been buying a CNY 20 ticket (CNY 10 for children) at the Fuxi Temple first. After filling out information at the ticket office, they exchange it for a blue pass, which grants free admission to all the attractions on the list. Our main destination was Maijishan Grottoes, and since there were four of us, it was worth getting the pass. If you're traveling alone or as a couple, consider the transportation and time involved, as Maijishan and Fuxi Temple are in opposite directions. From Tianshui South High-Speed Railway Station, there are direct buses to Qinzhou District and Maiji District. We hired a car, and the driver picked us up from the station and took us directly to Fuxi Temple. After our visit, we went to Maijishan. If you're taking public transport, there's a direct bus from Fuxi Temple to Maijishan. Fuxi Temple and the Tianshui Museum are located together and share the same ticket. It takes about an hour to see everything, with the museum taking up most of the time. You can see Fuxi Temple in about half an hour. To see 5,000 years of history, visit Shanxi. To see 8,000 years of history, visit Gansu. The Fuxi Temple in Tianshui is considered the origin of Chinese civilization. Tianshui is a worthwhile place to visit in Gansu, but unfortunately, we only had time for a day trip. There's an old street opposite Fuxi Temple, and many places to explore nearby. The famous Yuan Nü Mala Tang is located on the opposite street near the T-junction. There's also the "Little Potala Palace" (which I thought was a bit underwhelming, haha. The driver told me about it, but it felt like a slum).
