Imperial Tianhou Temple, Lion Forest Bridge "Diving Team," Tianjin Eye

The Imperial Tianhou Temple is located in the Ancient Culture Street. It now serves as a Mazu Temple and a folk museum. Visitors can not only pray for peace but also explore small exhibitions. If you like this, you can opt to buy a carnation for 10 yuan instead of burning incense—it's both eco-friendly and visually pleasing. The area is very quiet, likely because it's not peak season yet. Upon returning, I found out that there are temple celebration activities in April, which are lively and festive. If you visit during that time, you'll get to experience a variety of unique celebrations. The Tianhou Temple is situated in the city center, within walking distance of Lion Forest Bridge. Besides enjoying the river view, you can head to one section of the bridge to watch the "Tianjin Grandpa Diving Team." When I visited in the afternoon, the grandpas were already preparing to come ashore, and one of them was performing the "Iron Head" stunt. It was clear that he thoroughly enjoyed the attention and applause. Across from Lion Forest Bridge is the Wanghailou Church. According to the information, it is only open during Mass hours. Walking towards the church, you can follow the riverside path to reach the Tianjin Eye! Honestly, it's not far at all if you stick to the river route. Strolling back to Jinwan Plaza from the Tianjin Eye in the evening is truly delightful, especially with the sunset—it’s simply amazing. Taking a boat ride or enjoying the nighttime view of the Tianjin Eye would undoubtedly offer a unique experience. Walking along the riverside, I slowly fell in love with Tianjin.
