The St. Regis Tianjin 1. Excellent Location The hotel is in a great location, earning 4.5 stars. It is close to the Haihe River, with Hang Lung Plaza in front and the riverbank behind. It is also close to major attractions such as Beian Bridge, Liberation Bridge, Five Great Avenues, and Italian Style Town, all within walking distance. Although public transportation is not very convenient, the proximity to many attractions is a major advantage. 2. Spacious Room I stayed in the Governor Suite on the top floor, which is over 90 square meters and very spacious, with a living room, kitchen, bar, and dressing table. The room faces the Haihe River and offers a view of the Tianjin Eye, with stunning night views. Although the decor lacks the ultimate luxury of traditional St. Regis hotels, it is still very nice. 3. Thoughtful Service The service experience earns 4 stars. I made a reservation for a saber champagne ceremony by the Haihe River, which was solemn and fun. After the ceremony, we were given a whole bottle of champagne, which was great. Although the teddy bear I wanted was not available, the hotel thoughtfully gave us a travel bag set, which was also nice. The butler service was also very good, helping us pack our luggage without any problems. In terms of perks, the hotel gave us a small cake and tea. Although there were no snacks, which is a little different from Changsha and Macau, the overall service experience was very satisfying. 4. Unique Dining The dining experience earns 3 stars. I tried the breakfast and happy hour. This is one of the few St. Regis hotels in China that offers food during happy hour. Although there are not many dishes, they are very tasty. However, the breakfast was a little disappointing. There were so many people that it was crowded, and I had to eat at the bar. Apart from the delicious pancakes, the other dishes and pastries were average. 5. Overall Rating Overall, I would give it 4 stars. I heard that this hotel is considered a basic St. Regis by frequent travelers, but I found it to be very nice. The location is excellent, and although the facilities and services are not perfect, the price of over CNY 700 is very cost-effective and highly recommended.
