Minyuan Square on Tianjin's Five Avenues

Minyuan Square is located at the center of the Five Avenues, formerly known as Minyuan Stadium, which was established in 1920. It was once the leading comprehensive sports stadium in the Far East and also the first stadium in China with lighting facilities. Minyuan Square was reconstructed and officially opened to the public on May 1, 2014. The central green space is 10,000 square meters, retaining a 400-meter standard track. Its service functions include a tourist center, museum, art performances, sports and fitness, as well as supermarket dining, and it has become a popular check-in spot for tourists.
