Vajiralongkorn Dam, formerly known as Khao Laem Dam, is the first concrete rockfill dam in Thailand. It was built to block the Kwai Noi River and was completed in 1984. The dam is 92 meters high and 1,019 meters long. It has a water storage area of ​​388 square kilometers and a water capacity of 8.86 billion cubic meters. It also has 3 generators installed. In addition to generating electricity, Vajiralongkorn Dam is also useful for agriculture and irrigation, flood relief, and is a source of freshwater species.
