Buddha Point – Where Serenity Meets Celebration

After our morning hike through Kuenselphodrang National Park, we ended back at the towering and serene Buddha Point — just beside the trail. But instead of the usual quiet atmosphere, we were greeted by a bustling scene filled with locals, many dressed in beautiful traditional Bhutanese attire. It looked like a special event or gathering was taking place — the entire area was swarming with people. I didn’t know exactly what the occasion was, but it was heartwarming to witness locals performing their religious rites with such calm devotion amidst the crowd. Everyone behaved in such an orderly manner with no shouting and jostling, which I thought really reflects how kind and gentle the Bhutanese were. It was one of those moments where you don’t need to fully understand the language or rituals to feel the spiritual energy and collective reverence.
