Citywalk North Bund Stroll Shanghai
Shanghai North Bund has become a new popular spot for social media check-ins. Starting from near the Banyan Tree Hotel in the morning, take a leisurely walk along the riverside all the way to the Waibaidu Bridge. Along the way, you can enjoy the sunrise over the water and have a panoramic view of the iconic trio of Pudong and the Oriental Pearl Tower across the river. The viewing platform, the silver droplet-shaped dome, the dazzling Rainbow Bridge, the Gate of Music, the cruise terminal, and the wind organ chairs under the cherry blossom trees are all exquisitely unique amidst the spring blooms. Take a stroll, sit down for a cup of coffee, and soak in the atmosphere of the Magic City. Tourists can join the North Bund area from the Huangpu River or along the Suzhou River, where it is relatively less crowded, and not to be missed.

The Bund National 4A Scenic Area
The Bund National 4A Scenic Area is located in the southern part of Hongkou District.
We came here for the first time and were amazed. Compared with the Bund, there are fewer people here, avoiding the crowd, enjoying the river view along the way, the 'magic seeds' of the riverside green space, the treasure check-in place where you can take pictures casually, framing the Huangpu River, flowers, trees and the 'three-piece suit' of Magic City with one key, and finally sitting on the ferry to enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River, a comfortable and leisurely tour experience.

Welcome to Shanghai, one of the best cities in the world.
#freehotelstay
Nestled on the eastern coast of China, Shanghai stands as a testament to the nation's rapid modernization and cultural heritage. Renowned as the "Paris of the East" and the "Pearl of the Orient," this bustling metropolis offers a captivating blend of history, innovation, and diversity, making it a must-visit destination for tourists worldwide.
One of Shanghai's most iconic landmarks is the Bund, a waterfront promenade that showcases a mesmerizing juxtaposition of architectural styles. On one side, visitors are greeted by the majestic skyscrapers of Pudong, symbolizing the city's futuristic ambitions. On the other, elegant colonial-era buildings evoke the glamour of Shanghai's past as a global financial hub in the early 20th century. A leisurely stroll along the Bund offers panoramic views of the Huangpu River, providing a serene escape from the city's bustling streets.
Delving deeper into Shanghai's rich history, tourists can explore the ancient alleyways of the Old City, where traditional shikumen houses and tranquil gardens offer a glimpse into Shanghai's storied past. The Yuyuan Garden, dating back to the Ming Dynasty, is a serene oasis amidst the urban chaos, with its winding pathways, ornate pavilions, and tranquil ponds inviting visitors to immerse themselves in centuries-old Chinese architecture and landscaping.
For those with a penchant for culture and the arts, Shanghai boasts a vibrant array of museums, galleries, and theaters. The Shanghai Museum, housed in a striking modern building reminiscent of an ancient Chinese cooking vessel, showcases an extensive collection of artifacts spanning thousands of years of Chinese history and culture. Meanwhile, the Shanghai Grand Theater hosts world-class performances ranging from classical ballet to contemporary theater, providing a feast for the senses.
No visit to Shanghai would be complete without indulging in its culinary delights. From mouthwatering street food stalls serving up steaming bowls of noodles and succulent dumplings to Michelin-starred restaurants offering innovative interpretations of traditional Chinese cuisine, Shanghai tantalizes taste buds with its diverse culinary landscape. Foodies can embark on a culinary journey through the city's vibrant neighborhoods, sampling regional specialties such as xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) in the historic French Concession or savory Shanghai-style noodles in the bustling Xintiandi district.
As night falls, Shanghai truly comes alive, with its neon-lit skyline illuminating the cityscape in a dazzling display of lights. Visitors can experience the pulsating energy of the city's nightlife scene, from chic rooftop bars offering panoramic views of the skyline to lively night markets brimming with street performers and local vendors. Whether sipping cocktails at a trendy lounge or dancing the night away at a bustling nightclub, Shanghai offers endless opportunities for unforgettable nocturnal adventures.
In conclusion, Shanghai is a city of contrasts and contradictions, where ancient traditions coexist with modern innovation, and East meets West in a harmonious fusion of cultures. From its iconic landmarks and rich history to its vibrant arts scene and culinary delights, Shanghai captivates and enthralls visitors with its boundless energy and unmistakable charm. A visit to this dynamic metropolis is sure to leave a lasting impression and inspire a sense of wonder and discovery.

2If you go to the Bund in winter, remember to add clothing, the wind is very strong there
SHANGHAI
Visiting Shanghai, one must always take a stroll along the Bund.

The Bund's scenery is endlessly splendid🌃,
The Huangpu River's waves gently ripple🌊.
The Oriental Pearl shines on the horizon🌆,
The night scene is as picturesque as a painting, as beautiful as poetry🖼️.
The brilliant lights illuminate the night sky🌌,

Rose flowers by the Huangpu River.
Half beautiful, quite beautiful, sharing with you to enjoy the flower rain together, the entire row of roses are bursting with blooms, with seven or eight or nine flowers crowded together on a single branch, from afar it looks like cotton candy dancing in the wind.
With the broad view of the river, the temperature in May is comfortable with a gentle breeze. It's a very comfortable morning exercise. The holiday is so wonderful. I hope to explore more cycling routes this summer.

Lujiazui Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Underrated other side of the Bund
This is not exactly Liujiazui - could not tag a more accurate location. Everyone knows West Bund, Bund or North Bund, but rarely do people talk about the Pudong side of the Bund - 滨江。
To cross the river for Pudong, hop on one of the multiple ferry stops along the Bund - I recommend the 董家渡 stop which will disembark you at 塘桥 - slightly south to Liujiazui. (See map)
The entire ferry ride is a less than 10 minutes and costs 2RMB. Go on the upper outdoor deck to get the best views of both sides of the Huangpu river.
Disembarking at 塘桥,walk north along the riverside promenade (滨江)and a get a closer view of the Pearl Tower as well as the the Bund from the other side.
You can also ride or walk the 20km stretch of dedicated cyclist/pedestrian lane. The cyclable route winds through trees, rises above ground and goes through protected forest areas.
Walk or ride, this is a very nice afternoon/sunset activity to to with a family but expect to have go through a few busy areas - Specially when getting closer to the Pearl Tower.
You can plan a picnic or stop at the multiple coffee stops along the river as well as many restaurants - Fat Cow, Eli Falafel, Chili’s etc - as you get closer to Liujiazui.

⛱️The treasure play area recommended by Shanghai girls~ No need to squeeze people to check in the Bund three-piece set~ I'm so lucky to go back to my mother's house for dinner tonight haha, otherwise I would miss a light show~
Our Dahongkou's North Bund is really fragrant~~ The ceiling-level camping is absolutely amazing
Come, let me recommend you to focus on:

️💕Paulaner Restaurant, very authentic German beer + snacks
️💕Silver Droplet , it is said that it has a different style during the day
️💕Magic City Matrix Climbing and rooftop camping~ The open microphone segment is really a master among the people!
️💕RV rest area, if you are tired, buy a coconut and sit down to rest your feet, blowing the river breeze, it couldn't be more comfortable
️Walden Garden
【Is there anything else to add haha? I am ready to brush again】
After dinner walk, you can also bring parents and children to stroll around~ Happy weekend holiday!
