Visit Tengchong, Yunnan: Immersive Niche Experiences

Niche means unique and beautiful. In Tengchong, if you want to try something different, I recommend you spend a day like this: 1⃣️Xinzhuang Handmade Paper (one of the three treasures of Tengchong: Tengxuan) With a history of more than 600 years, the village has changed over the years, but the craftsmanship has remained the same. Every household in Longjia Village, Xinzhuang makes Xuan paper, so you are essentially visiting the birthplace of Tengxuan. You can walk into any farmer's house in the village, and they will enthusiastically introduce you to the entire process of making Xuan paper and its development history. Making a piece of Xuan paper is time-consuming, but to satisfy the curiosity and needs of many tourists, the villagers have spontaneously created a "flower paper experience." 2⃣️Zuoshang Coffee Zuoshang Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops in Tengchong. It's not because the store is luxurious or eye-catching, but because the owner tells people more about the roasting process of the coffee beans and the origin of each coffee name. Maybe it's because I prefer activism over formalism, so I like it. The entire store is converted from a cowshed and a tobacco curing barn, with the cowshed turned into a coffee shop and the tobacco curing barn into a viewing platform. 3⃣️Shiqiang Wild Hot Spring In Tengchong, hot springs are not uncommon. But pure sulfur springs are rare, and even fewer can be used for hot spring baths and foot baths directly from the spring. In Shiqiang, you can clearly see where the hot spring water comes from and where it goes.
