Yunnan Tengchong - Yang Family Courtyard on National Highway 219

Self-driving, it's all about the scenery along the way. My basic principle is to take national highways instead of expressways, provincial roads instead of national highways, county roads instead of provincial roads, and to crisscross between township and county roads. On National Highway 219, on the way back from Tengchong to Mangshi, I discovered a Yang Family Courtyard. The courtyard is built grandly, with carved beams and painted rafters, flying eaves and walls, built along the mountain. The gate of the courtyard was open, and there were people at the entrance. We asked if we could take a look around. The gatekeeper said we could look around freely. Entering the courtyard, there was almost no one inside. The ground was covered with moss, which had dried and turned black under the sunlight. The entire courtyard is a Yang family ancestral hall themed around Confucian culture, with interpretations of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness, the Hundred Filial Piety Sutra, and family precepts and maxims. It's worth a visit!
