KENDIL MOUNTAIN

Climbing the mountain is now an activity that is favored by many people. For those who are new to climbing activities, Mount Kendil in Temanggung, Central Java can be one of the best alternative climbing destinations. Mount Kendil has a height of about 1,800 meters above sea level (masl). At first glance, this mountain is a hill so many people call it Sikendil Hill. Although the altitude is only 1,800 meters above sea level, it does not mean that there is no beauty presented there. Sikendil still presents the beauty of the panorama from a height that can be seen clearly from its peak. Mount Kendil can be reached from the Sikendil Ascent Basecamp via Sibajag which is located in Sibajag Village, Candiroto District, Temanggung Regency, Central Java. This basecamp is also located near the border with Wonosobo Regency. The location of Mount Kendil is right on the north side of Mount Sindoro which has a height of 3,153 meters above sea level. The distance between the two is only separated by Jalan Tambi which is an alternative road to Wonosobo-Temanggung. Even though the height is less than Mount Sindoro, it doesn't mean that the beauty of the panorama of Mount Kendil is lost. On the other hand, the towering Mount Sindoro is one of the sights that can be seen from Sikendil Peak. From an altitude of about 1,800 meters above sea level, Mount Sindoro looks so dashing. Besides towering high into the sky, the ridges and valleys of Mount Sindoro also add to the panorama seen when climbing Mount Kendil.
