Hooker Valley Track

Hooker Valley Track is the most iconic track in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. If you only have time for one track, this is the one to choose. This 10 km winding track extends along Hooker Valley to Hooker Lake, and the round trip usually takes 3 to 4 hours. Highlights include the Mueller Glacier and the stunning views of Aoraki/Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest peak. In spring, hikers can also see the Mount Cook buttercup, the world's largest buttercup flower.
