China-Pakistan Friendship Highway

On the forty-fourth day of heading west, we departed from Kashgar and traveled along the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway G314, spending the night in Tashkurgan County... Here, there are also grasslands, lakes, canyons, and snow-capped mountains. The snow-capped mountains are particularly distinctive, closer, larger, and more majestic. You can not only view them from a distance but also observe them up close and even touch them... Let's start with a few photos: White Sand Lake beside White Sand Mountain, Karakul Lake at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, and the Muztagh Ata Glacier, known as the father of glaciers. The color of White Sand Lake is milky green against the backdrop of White Sand Mountain, while Karakul Lake appears dark green under the reflection of the snow-capped mountains, showing a clear contrast. Finally, there are distant views of the Muztagh Ata snow peak, close-up views, and even touches of the Muztagh Ata Glacier.
