Visit Hutoushan Environmental Protection Park

It was closed at the end of 1998. After being replanned in August 2002, it successfully got rid of its "bad reputation" and became a good place to enjoy the greenery and scenery in the suburbs. The entire park adopts natural ecological methods to reduce unnecessary damage to the environment. The environmental park is equipped with facilities such as trails, wooden landscape pavilions, large lawns, and collage seats. When you come to the Environmental Protection Park, you can enjoy a broad bird's eye view of Luzhu, Dayuan, Bade and Zhongli. There is a curved metal airplane art installation in the park (Figure 2), which is great for taking photos no matter day or night! A stone sculpture called “Nurturing” (Figure 10) is specially set up in the center of the park to illustrate the significance of the rebirth of this land. The entire park has not only been transformed from a landfill into a park, but is also powered by solar and wind power, which deepens the significance of this environmentally friendly park. This park is suitable for distant views. To the northwest, you can see planes taking off and landing at Taoyuan International Airport, and further away you can see the blue Taiwan Strait; to the southwest, you can overlook the streets of Taoyuan District, and further away you can see Zhongli District.
