Phang Nga Bay Day Trip from Phuket | A Real Experience Revealed

| A Real Experience Revealed. Hey guys, today I'm going to share my recent Phang Nga Bay day trip experience 🎉, as a reference for those who are planning to go ~ This day trip cost 270 for the whole day. It was a large, shared boat tour, including lunch and unlimited water. Sounds pretty good, right? But the actual experience was a mixed bag😕. We started at 7am from Kata Beach, picking up people along the way in Kata, Karon, and Patong. After arriving at the pier, we waited for vehicles from various travel agencies to drop off more people. We didn't board the boat until after 10am, spending a considerable amount of time just traveling. The time spent at sea was also quite long. We arrived at Bat Cave at 11:30am. It was my first kayaking experience, but it was really underwhelming. It only lasted about 10 minutes, in and out. Each family was given a number and we boarded the kayaks in turn. There were only four or five kayaks, with one group returning as another went out. Our boat went back and forth three times, and our family of three shared one kayak. After that, we headed to Hong Island, which is said to have small rooms like "home." We arrived there at 12:20pm. The kayaking here was also only about 10 minutes, just a short loop around the island. We did see a heart-shaped tree, and rocks resembling a turtle, an eagle, and an elephant. However, waiting for everyone to finish took a long time. The boat was stationary, hot, sunny, and with no breeze, which significantly diminished the experience😭. Afterwards, we were taken to a small, shallow beach (a mini beach) of about 10 square meters for photos, swimming, and playing in the water. Some people swam, but others thought the water was too dirty and didn't go in. We saw a small swing and asked the kayak guides to take us there for photos before returning. We could also borrow kayaks to play for about half an hour. Then it was time for lunch. Two large bottles of local cola were provided during lunch, while at other times only iced water, hot water, and instant orange juice were available, and drinks were charged. The food was similar to other day trips. The Muslim captain prepared fried chicken legs, fried fish, fried potatoes, salad, rice, pasta, and Tom Yum soup. After lunch, we went to James Bond Island to see the famous rock formation. We had 40 minutes on the island, taking photos from various angles and walking around before returning. Then the trip ended and we started the long journey back. We were the first to be picked up and the last to be dropped off, arriving back at the hotel after 7pm. The tourists on the boat were quite diverse. We were the only Chinese family, along with one family from New Zealand. Most of the others were Russian and Indian. The guide spoke English, but he thoughtfully explained the important points to us in Chinese. Overall, the price was indeed cheap, and it wasn't tiring, making it suitable for sightseeing. However, the downside was that the kayaking time was too short, which was really disappointing. If you're planning to go, there are kayak boatmen near Bat Cave and Hong Island. You can charter a boat and find them for a longer kayaking experience, which I think would be more fun. James Bond Island is very small, purely for seeing the rock and taking photos. An hour is more than enough to walk around. Have any of you been on the Phang Nga Bay day trip🧐?
