Starry sky of Hateruma Island

Hateruma Island is a place I've always longed to visit. Take a bus from Ishigaki Airport to the remote island terminal, and then take a ferry to the southernmost island in an hour and a half. The boats often don't leave due to rough seas... And that's all part of the luck of the journey. At night, a traveler I met locally took me to a great spot for stargazing. The recommended place to stargaze is Nishihama. It's close to the ferry terminal and easy to stroll around. And the place where the monument of the southernmost point of Japan is located is pitch black with no light, so it's perfect for stargazing. I think it will look even better if you wear a slightly colorful dress. Also, since you can't see your feet, it's essential to bring a flashlight or other light source.
