Weekend Getaway to Taizhou (2/50 Cities with a "Work" Vibe)

During the Qingming holiday, I took a detour from my hometown in Nanjing to Taizhou for two days. Strolling through the city, I found a rich historical and cultural atmosphere perfectly blended with stunning natural scenery. Every corner exudes a unique charm. 📅 Itinerary: 🚶🏻‍♀️【Taizhou Two-Day Tour】Route Guide Day 1: Visit the Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall in the morning → Enjoy local Taizhou cuisine at a small local restaurant for lunch → Stroll along Taizhou Old Street in the afternoon → Immerse yourself in the night view of the Old Street in the evening Day 2: Experience Taizhou's morning tea culture early in the morning → Head to Qintong Ancient Camellia to admire the flowers → Go to Qinhu Wetland Park for some fresh air after lunch → Visit the Warship Culture Park in the afternoon 🌄 Must-Visit Spot 1: Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall: Free admission. The Jiangnan garden style inside the hall is very charming. In the exhibition hall, capture the focused expressions of tourists admiring the exhibits, or take portrait photos in front of the ancient opera stage with carved beams and painted pillars as the background to easily create a blockbuster of humanistic art. 🌄 Must-Visit Spot 2: Taizhou Old Street: You can capture the everyday life of the people in the quaint streets and alleys. I recommend Zhonglou Alley and Shisheng Street, which have a strong local atmosphere and are suitable for visiting in the evening. 🌄 Must-Visit Spot 3: Qintong Ancient Camellia: In Qintong Ancient Town, there is a camellia tree that was planted in the Song Dynasty and is now nearly 800 years old. The camellia flowers are in full bloom from late March to mid-April, with an estimated nearly 100 flowers. You can only appreciate how shocking it is when you are there. 🌄 Must-Visit Spot 4: Qinhu Wetland Park: Tickets are CNY 80. You can see many elks here. First, take a boat into the park and start from the Hudong Ecological Area. The lake and green trees along the way make for a great view. When you get to the elk viewing area, capture the moment of the elks relaxing. It's super healing, but be aware that there are no boats after about 5 PM. 🌄 Must-Visit Spot 5: Warship Culture Park: The People's Navy set sail from here, which is very suitable for bringing children to play. When you come to Taizhou, you must try their morning tea, including dried bean curd in broth and crab roe buns. I recommend going to Liufang Teahouse, Huibinlou, and Guo Er Morning Tea. 2.
