Explore Taizhou Meiyuan: A Charming Journey to the Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall🌺|||📜 Peking opera master Mei Lanfang was born in Beijing, but his ancestral home is in Taizhou, Jiangsu. Meiyuan is located on the picturesque Fenghuangdun in the eastern suburbs of Taizhou. It was built to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Mei Lanfang's birth and is a tribute to his legendary life. 🖼️ The garden is mainly composed of Ming and Qing architecture. When you get close, it feels like a Peking opera is about to be performed. Every corner of Meiyuan is beautiful, with gray bricks, brown tiles, and flying eaves. The layout is elegant and quiet. The winding corridors are staggered in height, and every few dozen meters there is a speaker playing melodious singing that echoes throughout the garden. 🧡 Meiyuan has four highlights that are worth seeing. 1️⃣ The first highlight is the Meiting Pavilion; 2️⃣ The second highlight is the large white marble bust of Mei Lanfang at the entrance of the garden. The statue is 260 cm high, and the base is 67 cm high, symbolizing Mei Lanfang's 67-year glorious life; 3️⃣ The third highlight is the large white marble statue of Mei Lanfang as Yang Taizhen in "The Story of Taizhen" in the pool outside the exhibition hall. The statue is graceful and elegant, like a lotus flower emerging from the water.
