Taipei Cheng Huang Temple

In the centre of the temple, there are sculptures of Cheng Huang (City God Master) and his wife, statue of Wen Jue and Wu Jue, and the statue of Guanyin. The sculptures were once damaged by an earthquake and later restored. The temple was crowded with devotees. Chinese believe that Cheng Huang will record the good deeds and bad deeds that you have done in your lifetime. So they pray for better lives. The temple served free vegetarian noodles in cold weather. Such a thoughtful gesture. #tripblazers #taipei
