Weekday lunch at Café, Grand Hyatt Taipei

#Grand Hyatt Taipei #Café This year's ninth Café (breakfast included) 🥳 Just in time for our new Land & Sea theme, we're excited to be celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival again! Our selection of grilled meats 𝑩𝑩𝑸 is here! New dishes include Malaysian skewers hot pot 𝑳𝒐𝒌 𝑳𝒐𝒌 , Korean Andong stewed chicken, Cantonese roast duck, Indian tandoori chicken, Singaporean seafood laksa noodles, and French-style gratinated purple scallops. The Grand Hyatt's head chef is Singaporean, and the new dishes are quite impressive 🥳 Café's dining area is divided into five main sections: Chinese stir-fry, Western cuisine, Indian delicacies, Japanese food, and desserts. The Chinese section features roast meats, various stir-fries, and a freshly cooked section, showcasing the chefs' expert skill. The hot pots in this section are also not to be missed! The Ning-style stir-fried eel paste with chives and fried sea ginseng are both standard. The short ribs were unfortunately overly salty both times I ordered them. 🥹 In addition to the signature truffle risotto, the Western menu also features oven-roasted steak, pork ribs, and today's amazing crispy pork. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender, just delicious! The fresh produce section remains fairly standard, with both the sashimi and grilled fish being popular with those who love fresh meat. 👍 The dessert section hasn't changed much, with the addition of butter-baked rice cakes, but they're just average. 😑 I always feel a bit disappointed after a bit of anticipation. 😂 Kaffey House isn't really a top choice for hotel buffets. I'm just thankful I took advantage of the American Express promotion, so I give it a try once in a while. 🙈 Happy birthday!
