An afternoon break, the sun is too bright, and I don't want to stay in the office. So, I head to Haritts Donuts & Coffee Taipei store next to the school. Every time I get tired of grading papers, I come here to refresh myself. This famous donut shop from Tokyo, Japan, is very popular. Out of the 10 flavors on the shelf, 8 are usually sold out. But don't give up, ask the staff, and you might get lucky and have fresh ones in about 10 minutes. 🍩 Features of Haritts Donuts｜Truly Not Greasy Haritts donuts are different from typical American donuts. Their texture is more like a combination of 'bread + cake,' without the heavy fried feeling. They are light and not overly sweet, so you won't feel burdened even if you eat them without a drink. Each bite lets you feel the delicacy and warmth of handmade treats. The donuts are displayed in a transparent glass cabinet, and each flavor looks so tempting that it gives you a hard time choosing (lol). Most customers opt for takeout, but you can also dine in (a drink is required). The interior is in a simple Japanese style, with only about ten seats. On good weather days, you can also sit in the outdoor courtyard. 🍫 Today's Order: Favorite Chocolate Donut + Iced Latte 🍩 Chocolate Donut: This one is definitely my favorite! The cocoa dough contains 64% chocolate, and the outer layer is sprinkled with 100% cocoa powder. With one bite, the chocolate filling slightly oozes out. It's rich but not overly sweet, with a hint of bittersweet balance, making it an adult-friendly chocolate flavor. The bread remains Haritts' signature soft and chewy texture, fully satisfying 🥰
