Visit Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

#2月好地方2025 The entire Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a historical site. The designer is Yang Zhuocheng, who designed the Grand Hotel. The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is an imitation of the palace-style architecture of the Qing Dynasty, with blue tiles and white walls that are majestic and magnificent. The former site was the military land of the artillery unit and the 1st Infantry Company during the Japanese occupation. The entire area is 250,000 square meters, and the main building is 76 meters high. Since its completion, it has become one of the famous landmarks of Taipei City. The concert hall (Figure 8 12 17) and theater (Figure 9 16) on the left and right sides of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. The roofs of the theater and the concert hall are "hip-and-gable" for the theater and "gable-roof" for the concert hall, which, together with the octagonal roof of the Memorial Hall, form a layout of three mountains standing side by side, with the Memorial Hall as the main body, reaching a height of 70 meters. During this visit to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, I happened to see the changing of the guard on the hour (Figure 3-7), which was a real surprise. I saw photos online showing that Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is very beautiful at night, so I came back to take some more photos at night. It is really beautiful.
