📝 Taiwan Travelogue part4: Longshan Temple in Mengjia 📝 🎞🎞🎞🎞 Originally built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, it has been damaged and repaired multiple times. The existing buildings were mostly reconstructed between 1920-1926 and expanded from 1953-1965. It is a temple that showcases a combination of the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese occupation period, and the post-liberation era. The carved beams and painted rafters are quite characteristic of the Minnan style, and the temple is very popular with worshippers. 🖼🖼🖼🖼 The most unique feature is the temple's queuing system for window services, which made me feel as if I was at a bank rather than a temple 😂. Here, for adding incense oil or making donations, you need to take a number, experiencing the magical combination of traditional culture and modern civilization. 📷📷📷📷 I was also very happy that I could take photos here. None of the temples I have visited in Taiwan had signs prohibiting photography, and no one would come out to say that taking photos is disrespectful to the deities, which is something I really like about Taiwan.
