Beimen Sanliaowan Donglong Temple

Beimen Sanliaowan Donglong Temple is located in Sanguang Village, Beimen District, Tainan City. Originally, it was dedicated to 'Lord Li'. However, in early 1945, 'Lord Wen' from Donggang Donglong Temple was ordered to guard the temple and help the people. Since then, both Lords Li and Wen have shown their divine power, traveling south and north, gaining fame, and attracting many worshippers. Out of gratitude, believers built new temples nearby to worship them. Before Lord Wen's arrival, the original name of Donglong Temple was 'Cian Temple'. In 1945, due to the reconstruction of the old temple and to thank Lord Wen from Donggang Donglong Temple, the name was changed to 'Donglong Temple', making it the second Donglong Temple in Taiwan. After several renovations, Sanliaowan Donglong Temple now looks magnificent, with golden walls, vivid carvings, and paintings. Inside the temple, there is also a bronze Wang ship for visitors to admire, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. It is known as the only bronze Wang ship in Taiwan. Additionally, a 7-story Donglong Temple Cultural Center was built next to the temple, where visitors can enter for a ticket price of 50 NTD. However, only the 1st, 3rd, and 4th floors are open to the public. The temple has also been honored with the title of 'Temple Museum' by the government. Besides the main hall, there is also a rear hall, and parking is convenient, making it an ideal destination for religious tourists to explore the beauty of the temple.
