Taichung Attractions: Pop-up Shops, Markets, and Historic Railways

When it comes to must-see destinations in downtown Taichung, the Taichung Railway Cultural Park is definitely on the list. Formerly the Taichung Main Station, it's no longer used as a train station. It's been transformed from a century-old railway into a cultural and artistic park. It even hosts a weekend market, making it a popular strolling spot for tourists and locals alike. This time, I happened to catch a special exhibition at the Kyoto Railway Museum. 🚆 The park still retains the original platforms, station signs, and railway tracks, and there's also an exhibition area showcasing the stories behind the railway's operation. Nearby, I even saw an R100 diesel-electric locomotive on display. There's also the park's mascot, the Iron Deer. The park also has shops and pop-up stores, such as Korilakkuma 20 The anniversary pop-up shop was also a real eye-catcher. The entire exhibition space was super cute and pastel-colored. And there was a Kabo Milk Cat themed cafe ☕ Every corner was perfect for photos and a stroll! Before leaving, I even bought a box of freshly steamed Zhuangyuan Cake ✨ . .
