Taichung Cherry Blossom Guide: Encounter Romantic Flower Seas

Every year from February to April, Taichung is adorned with blooming flowers, making it the perfect season for cherry blossom viewing. Here are some must-visit cherry blossom spots: • Wuling Farm: Located in the mountainous area of Heping District, Taichung City, at an altitude of 1,800 meters. The farm boasts over 20,000 cherry trees, including varieties such as mountain cherry and Yaezakura. The 2025 cherry blossom season runs from February 8 to 23, with ten major viewing spots along Wuling Road, each featuring different cherry blossom species. • Houli Taian Police Station: Known as "the most beautiful police station in Taiwan." The 200-meter stretch in front of the station is lined with nearly a hundred cherry trees, blooming from February to March. Nighttime illuminated cherry blossom viewing is particularly enchanting, with the blossoms appearing dreamlike under the lights. • Xinshe Sakura Path: Over 20,000 cherry trees are scattered throughout the area, with the densest clusters near the Environmental Park beside the District Office and the Seedling Farm of the Council of Agriculture. The blooming period lasts from mid-January to March, extended by the significant day-night temperature differences. Before heading out, it is recommended to check the blooming schedule and weather in advance, and prepare sun protection and mosquito repellent. To reach Wuling Farm, you can take the Taiwan Railways to Yilan Station or Luodong Station, then transfer to Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport.
