Enjoy the wonderful scenery of Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area

Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area is located in Heping District, Taichung City. It is over 2,000 meters above sea level and has a cool climate. It is a great place full of natural ecology. In the park, there are Xiaoxueshan Tianchi Trail, Xueshan Shenmu Trail, Yakou Scenic Trail, Wooden Horse Trail, Forest Bathing Trail, etc., all of which are wonderful spots that provide aerobic forest breathing. Among them, the 50-meter-tall Snow Mountain Sacred Tree, located at the deepest part of the amusement area, was once the 11th largest tree in Taiwan. The Xiaoshenmu Trail and the Wooden Horse Trail preserve the original giant cypress forest, which is the most beautiful scenery not to be missed in the amusement area. The park has a rich ecology, and wild animals are the greatest treasure of the Great Snow Mountain. Muntjacs, long-haired goats and white-faced flying squirrels liven up the night, while during the day, mountain birds such as imperial pheasants, blue-bellied pheasants and crested thrushes jump and dance. While strolling in the woods and enjoying the comfort of a forest bath, you will often encounter the surprise of unexpected encounters with animals. There is a well-equipped visitor center and Xiaoxueshan Tourism Information Center in the park, which provides multimedia and consulting services, and is equipped with toilets and exhibition areas. The park also provides comfortable accommodation and meals, with villas and cabins to choose from. There is a small living room between the two cabins, which is a good choice for traveling with family or friends.
