Damaged Yet Still Glamorous Mansion

Dubbed as the most visited tourist spot in Tacloban City, the Santo Nino Shrine and Heritage Museum still maintained its glamour even after the city was devastated by super typhoon Yolanda. Sometimes referred to as the Marcos Mansion in Tacloban, the amazing structure is located of the city proper - you can take a ‘muticab’ or ‘tricycle’ to get into the site. This tourist spot actually serves as a museum, chapel and a guest house which was built by the instruction of late President Ferdinand Marcos for his wife, Imelda. Inside the mansion will be a showcase of the luxurious living of the Marcoses, with the antique displays, guest rooms and dining hall/ballroom with really stunning furnitures and art pieces coming from local spots and different parts of the world. There is an entrance fee of 100 pesos as a fee for the tour guide and as help for the restoration of the place (and additional 50 pesos for taking photos),but it is definitely worth to see all of the amazing stuffs in the place. Definitely a must-visit if you are in Tacloban.
