From Greenery to History: A Walk to State Library of NSW

Leaving the Royal Botanic Garden, the walk toward the State Library of NSW is a journey through Sydney’s history. Strolling along Macquarie Street, past grand sandstone buildings, the city’s charm unfolds. A stop at Hyde Park, with its lush greenery and the ANZAC Memorial, offers a moment of reflection. Crossing Martin Place, the library’s majestic columns come into view, welcoming visitors into a world of knowledge. #australiatrip

State Library of New South Wales

The State Library of New South Wales in Sydney was the earliest library established in the state (1826) and is also the oldest library in Australia. The building here is very distinctive, and the sculptures are also very interesting. I really love the windows and bookshelves that are full of medieval classical style. It is a great place to enjoy the fragrance of books in peace. The collection of books here is very rich, with over 5 million volumes. Visitors are allowed to visit and take photos inside the library. If you travel to Sydney, I think it is a must-visit place.
