Sydney's Martin Place Hosts the Southern Hemisphere's Tallest Christmas Tree

Standing tall in the heart of Sydney's Martin Place is New South Wales' tallest Christmas tree, reputedly the tallest in the Southern Hemisphere. This magnificent tree is adorned with over 110,000 LED lights, a 3.4-meter color-changing star, and 330 specially crafted shiny Christmas balls. Its 800 branches are decorated with 15,000 flowers representing nine different Australian blooms: waxflower, waratah, bottlebrush, wattle, eucalyptus gum flower, kangaroo paw, flannel flower, pink waxflower, and white waxflower.
