Neighborhood Blossoms

I went to pick up a book at the Xincheng Neighborhood Center and was surprised to find the early cherry blossoms in full bloom right next to Xiandai Avenue, adding a splash of color to the otherwise gloomy, rainy day. Most of the magnolia petals by the neighborhood sports field had been knocked off by last night's sudden wind and rain, leaving the branches looking rather bare. The bookcases are located outside the north wall of the Neighborhood Center. Suzhou Library's online borrowing service, with free delivery to nearby locations and self-service pickup and return, is truly impressive.
