Couple's Retreat Garden: A house with two gardens, full of Jiangnan poetry

Couple's Retreat Garden is located at No. 7, Xiaoxin Lane, Cang Street, Suzhou City. It was built in the early Qing Dynasty and covers an area of about 7,740 square meters. It is named after the two gardens built on the east and west sides of the house, which means that the couple retired to the countryside. Its layout is exquisite, with the yellow stone rockery in the east garden being majestic and the lake stone rockery in the west garden being exquisite. It is a physical material for studying the garden art of the Qing Dynasty. 🌟Highlights: - Unique layout: The layout of a house with two gardens is unique in Suzhou classical gardens. The east and west gardens correspond to each other and are connected to the central house by a double-story building. - Love culture: "Ou" is pronounced the same as "ou" (meaning couple).
