Tiger Hill

Tiger Hill Scenic Area (accessible by subway and bus) is located at No. 8, Hushanmen, Gusu District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the northwest of Suzhou Ancient City, with an altitude of 34.3 meters and a long history of more than 2,500 years. The mountain body of Tiger Hill is composed of Jurassic volcanic magma. It is also known as Haiyong Mountain. Wang Xun, the Minister of Works of the Jin Dynasty, and his brother Wang Min built villas on both sides of the Sword Pond. "The temple hides the mountain" is one of its major features. There is a saying that "the back mountain of Tiger Hill is better than the front mountain." There are still small bluestone bridges, stone archways, and rockeries.
