Twin Pagodas and Main Hall Ruins

Luohan Temple Twin Pagodas and Main Hall Ruins Originally called Pannuo Temple, it was built in 861 during the Tang Dynasty and renamed Luohan Temple during the Wuyue Kingdom of the Five Dynasties. The main hall was built in the early Northern Song Dynasty, and only the stone base, columns, and thresholds remain today. The stone columns are exquisitely carved. The twin pagodas were built in 982 during the Northern Song Dynasty. They are seven-story, octagonal, wooden-style brick pagodas, each 33.7 meters tall. The two pagodas are identical and stand side by side.
